Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes go full psycho-romance in this first-date-from-hell thriller

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment drops DROP — a high-stakes, real-time thriller from Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day) — digitally on April 29, with a 4K UHD and Blu-ray release following June 10.

It’s produced by the teams behind M3GAN and A Quiet Place. That should give you a pretty good idea of the tone: tight, cold, and out for blood.

What is Drop?

Violet (Meghann Fahy, The White Lotus) is a widowed single mom cautiously stepping back into dating. Henry (Brandon Sklenar, 1923) seems like a great first attempt.

Then her phone buzzes.

An anonymous message. Then another. Surveillance footage of a masked intruder inside her home. The voice says: follow every instruction or people she loves will die.

And the final demand? Kill Henry.
