DORIS DAY: A SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY REVIEWED
“Doris Day: A Sentimental Journey” is an older documentary presented on DVD with the cleanest transfer I’ve ever seen. It’s the usual kind of talking head piece that you’d expected to see on A&E or PBS. What makes it great is how many of the celebs that were still alive to talk at the time. I’m not a big fan of Day’s work, but it’s interesting to see a woman’s career change from the Golden Age of Hollywood to the present. Plus, I totally respect her charitable work with animals.
If you’re a fan, your mileage with the film will go a long way. Everyone else will probably just give it a quick viewing.
