THE PLOT THUS FAR
Craig Shoemaker makes his one-hour special debut.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“Daditude” is Craig Shoemaker’s first special that allows everyone to meet his unique style. While Shoemaker’s humor aims older than my tastes, there is some common ground. At least, it’s not Bob Saget continuing to embarrass himself with each passing year. People keep making a big deal about his observational humor. If I didn’t like it with Seinfeld, I don’t like it here. Again, comedy is subjective.
The DVD comes with featurettes and outtakes as the special features. The transfer is pretty sharp, even though the footage is limited by its live source. The Dolby 2.0 audio track is sharp enough for what’s available. Still, it works. In the end, I’d recommend a rental.
