Here’s everything arriving on BritBox this April, from Capri-set crime thrillers to Fawlty Towers: the streaming service has announced its full April 2026 lineup, headlined by two compelling premieres. A Taste for Murder, starring Warren Brown (Luther) and Phyllis Logan (Downton Abbey), brings culinary-infused mystery to the sweeping landscapes of Capri beginning April 7. After the Flood returns for a tense second season on April 23, with Sophie Rundle (Peaky Blinders) navigating a baffling murder investigation while uncovering corruption that has plagued her town—and her own family—for decades. The month also continues BritBox’s “Austen Forever” celebration with beloved adaptations including the 2005 Pride and Prejudice, plus the arrival of Fawlty Towers, The Royle Family, and new seasons of Silent Witness and Death in Paradise. Whether you’re craving sun-drenched crime, period romance, or quintessentially British comedy, April delivers.
A Taste for Murder (April 7)#
Paradise turns perilous in BritBox’s new Capri-set crime thriller.
Warren Brown (Luther) plays Detective Chief Inspector Joe Mottram, a connoisseur who came to the beautiful island of Capri to grieve his deceased wife, reconnect with his troubled teenage daughter, and get closer to his late wife’s Italian relatives. All he planned was a summer’s break and a chance to savor some delicious Italian produce.
But Joe attracts murder cases like a wasp to a ripe peach.
Soon he finds himself involved in a case that is very close to home. Phyllis Logan (Downton Abbey) co-stars in the six-episode series, which blends culinary indulgence with sinister undercurrents lurking beneath the surface of leisure and pleasure.
The worldwide premiere releases two episodes on April 7, then weekly through the run. Screeners are available upon request.

After the Flood Season 2 (April 23)#
The tense exploration of a community shaped by tragedy continues with new investigations, hidden truths, and long-buried secrets.
Sophie Rundle (Peaky Blinders) returns as newly-promoted detective Jo Marshall, now on the trail of a baffling murder investigation. As tensions simmer in Waterside amid the rising threat of moorland fires and subsequent flooding risk, a body is discovered in bizarre circumstances.
Jo’s race to stop the killer will put her in opposition to dark, influential forces within the town, ultimately taking her on a much more personal investigation. She must operate in secret to have any hope of rooting out the corruption that has blighted the town’s police force—and her own family—for decades.
Matt Stokoe (Bodyguard) and Lorraine Ashbourne (Riot Women) return for the six-episode North America premiere, releasing weekly beginning April 23.
