Witness the films of a man that would become a legend… an icon… Bruce Lee

This box set includes four of the films that would make him one of the most important martial artists ever to grace the screen. The set includes The Big Boss, Fist Of Fury, Way Of The Dragon and Game Of Death.

Get ready to witness the legend of the dragon!

“The Bruce Lee Premiere Collection” proves that Fortune Star and Golden Harvest don’t have Chinese language tracks for these movies anymore. It doesn’t matter, because Bruce Lee was dubbed in those films. Most Chinese films of the day shot silent and then added in tracks wherever they could get it for domestic and foreign territories. But, that’s not going to stop fans from bitching about some fantasy audio tracks that never existed. But, I guess everyone feels like they’re Bey Logan now.

For those that don’t know, this is more of a budget conscious version of the massive Bruce Lee set that Shout released last year. It’s not the worst thing, as this release jettisons some of the iffy documentaries. That should’ve warranted a bigger price drop, but fans should take what they can get. The transfers hold up, even after the misframing issue that plagued early copies last year. So, it’s nice to see that the issues have been overcame.

The Blu-Ray comes with a commentary, featurettes, interviews, a ton of stuff on Game of Death and a ton of promo material as the special features. The A/V Quality sports dynamic DTS-HD 5.1 master audio tracks that blow away anything I’ve ever heard. The 1080p transfers have led me to retire my old FOX sets. Shout Factory has delivered one of the best sets of the year, if not this decade so far. I think they know this, as the guys in charge have become so comfortable at dropping the best in genre entertainment on our collective asses on a monthly basis. I’d recommend a purchase.
