“The New Doctors” is the latest segment of “The Bold Ones” anthology arriving on DVD. The series was an early co-creation of Steven Bochco that featured stunning direction. It wasn’t uncommon to see episodes directed by Richard Donner, John Badham or even Jerry Lewis. The series only lasted for 43 episodes, but the material was benchmark level stuff. You can see everything from “St. Elsewhere” to “ER” in the high pace hospital dramatics. While not for everyone, the material will draw in even the most jaded modern fan.
