Body Cam is a found footage movie arriving at either the worst or best possible time depending on the audience. A lone female cop discovers body cam footage that shows a supernatural being killing a cop. Now, she has to team up with a younger officer to discover what exactly is going on here. Outside of the supernatural element, you’ve seen this movie 100 times before even in a year where theaters have been closed 50% of the time.

Body Cam 2

Mary J. Blige has been trying to break into acting for a bit. Honestly, I dig this as a starring vehicle for her. However, it feels like a short film rather than something terribly fleshed out. It could’ve easily been part of the Twilight Zone revival, but I’ll take Body Cam either way I can get it.

For a film that dropped digitally almost 2 months ago, I never heard of it until a few days ago. Hopefully the Paramount Players releases can break out even bigger in the future.

Body Cam 4

The Body Cam DVD arrives from Paramount with a Digital Copy. You don’t get any special features. The A/V Quality is pretty typical for standard definition. Pick it up if you want to try something new.

Body Cam arrives on July 14th from Paramount
