“Big Block Singsong” is a series that sports a unique character singing their own song per episode. The style and content changes based on what’s needed. Plus, they are quick blasts that are fancy and catch the kiddie attention. New media like this is making Sesame Street look like David Lean epics in terms of length.

I find that weird as a newer parent, but I feel that I’m starting to get a grasp on what works for Pre-K and younger kids. This show works and it doesn’t really annoy adult audiences. More than anything, I can loop some of these clips on YouTube and study them. Nothing is that immediate, but it plays for friendly earworms.

The DVD comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is on par with most standard definition kids stuff. For a set running under an hour, the repeat viewing value is high. I just wish we had more to show to a kid in one blast. But, such is the life of a media oriented parent. I’d recommend a purchase to all parents of young kids.
