“The Beginners Bible” is back for a fourth shot of breaking down biblical lessons via dated animation. Whether it’s the story of Joseph & His Brothers, Daniel and the Lion’s Den or the Battle of Jericho, your kids will learn that these stories can be told by non sentient vegetables. For a Middle Eastern based tale, everybody in the program is Nordic and white. But, the kids don’t care about that. They’re at the right age to buy into this stuff.
The Kathie Lee Gifford theme song is still there. I guess the series couldn’t spring for something new. While the DVD runs at 120 minutes, I feel like 30 minutes a pop might’ve been too much for the content. There’s nothing here that couldn’t be told in 7-11 minute segments. The DVD comes with no special features.
