“The Anomaly” is a fun seemingly Sci-Fi concept about a man with blackout amnesia. As he loses track of time, while moving freely backwards through it…one has to wonder if he can be trusted. Ian Somerhalder shows up as the heavy, while Brian Cox steals the show with every moment he’s onscreen. For a 97 minute long movie, it played like an hourly drama that needed 10 minutes chopped out of it. Predictable to a fault, but fun for the first half of the experience.
The Blu-Ray comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is solid for an indie FX laden movie. The 1080p transfer sports minimal noise. Plus, the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track is truly stellar. In the end, I’d recommend a rental.
