Another season of alien intervention belongs to HISTORY. ANCIENT ALIENS continues to examine 75 million years of the most credible alien evidence here on Earth. Is it possible that intelligent life forms visited Earth thousands of years ago, bringing with them technology that drastically affected the course of history and man’s own development? Ancient Aliens launches all-new expeditions to seek out and evaluate this evidence.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“Ancient Aliens” enters into its fourth season. The overuse of the Mayans and Grays is driving this show into the ground. Sure, I can still ironically appreciate the talking heads that the show digs out of the woodwork. That being said, what else is there? Really…what else is there? I keep expecting to see anything but the same three retreads year after year. At least, there is a modicum of consistency.
The Blu-Ray comes with no special features. We get nearly four hours of the best parts of the show. What I appreciate is the fact that nobody tries to force back channels in the show’s natural DTS-HD 2.0 master audio track. The 1080p transfer is really sharp, but it lacks anything that can’t be found on History HD. In the end, I’d recommend a rental.
