Abigaiil Morris recently joined host Heidi Hedquist and Luke Poling on Why? The Podcast to reflect on hosting the 2026 AVN Awards and the whirlwind journey that’s taken her from silent panic attacks to commanding the stage at the adult industry’s biggest night.
In the episode “AVN Awards Host Abigaiil Morris”, the ebullient redhead opens up about learning she would be co-hosting the ceremony nearly a year in advance and the pressure that followed as the moment slowly became real. “From June to July you just have a bunch of panic attacks pretty much,” Morris said with a laugh. “That’s kind of just what you do… silent alone panic attacks, except I had my co-host [ItsLo] so we had panic attacks with each other, which was lovely.”
Despite intense nerves and a lifelong struggle with stage fright, Morris pushed through the experience and ultimately found herself embracing the spotlight. “I figured out a method to get rid of my stage fright,” she explained. “I wore nude panties under my dress and had a very high slit, so I convinced myself everybody was too busy trying to see my vagina and they were not listening to me.”
By the end of the night, the performer who once worried she would “stutter” or “have a heart attack” on stage discovered something unexpected. “I fell in love with it actually,” Morris said. “I want to be on stage… talking and looking cute and bouncing around. It’s amazing.”
