TALES FROM THE PRISON YARD REVIEWED
“Tales from the Prison Yard” is another Mill Creek compilation of SONY movies that need to be in HD. “The Last Detail” and “The Valachi Papers” anchor this incredible collection of manly cinema. However, there are plenty of niche 1950s flicks to enjoy on the set. I’d recommend it as a primer to introduce younger fans to prison cinema. That being said, it’s not for the young. Use some judgment and let a 16-18 year old kid discover the awesomeness of Hal Ashby.
