“Egyptian Pyramids” follows Steve Burrows, as he heads to Egypt to scan the Pyramids. Burrows examines how these structures went from smaller objects to the behemoths of the Ancient World. There’s a great deal of history covered, but it’s all necessary. If anything, I wished we had more time to cover the history. We speed through Giza at break neck speed and it might confound neophytes.
The Time Scanners team does amazing work and I can only see their series growing, as it progresses. If you’re not a fan of architectural history, this won’t knock your socks off. I’d recommend the series to those that want to approach history from another angle and learn about the practicality of past lives. Find a way to relate yourself to a world that you could’ve inhabited, if you will.
The DVD comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is pretty standard for a PBS documentary. The transfer is flat. But, the Dolby track makes up for that. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to the curious.
