THE PLOT THUS FAR
A wedding planner looks to persuade her mother not to marry a man she’s only known for a brief period of time, until an unexpected development forces her to re-examine her feelings.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
Concerned that her mother, Rose (Helen Shaver), is acting rashly, young wedding planner Roxanne (Joanna Garcia) tries to sabotage her mom’s impending marriage. But when Roxanne discovers romance from an unexpected direction, she has a change of heart toward her mother and her handsome, soon-to-be stepfather.
Tish’s wedding does not happen, though the food is there and the reception goes on as planned. Why waste everything? But Tish needs a job and a place to live. Roxanne provides both. She needs help while her mother is gone to Paris for new gowns, and one of the employees was recently let go. Roxanne and Tish running the place themselves is humorous but not disastrous. By the way, Tish may have met husband number six, who seems to be planning a wedding but is too confused to admit it and shows interest in Tish.
The DVD comes with no special features. But, you get adequate Dolby Surround audio and a flat transfer to compliment the film. If it was shown on Lifetime HD, I could only imagine the film looking better than this. But, you’ve got to realize that it was a TV-Movie shot on the cheap for Lifetime. If you like that sort of thing, I’d recommend a rental.
