This week on NBC’s summer hit “America’s Got Talent” (Tuesday and Wednesday, 9-10 p.m. ET) celebrity judges Sharon Osbourne, David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan descend upon the “Entertainment Capital of the World,” Las Vegas, where they deliberate, debate and determine which acts will make it into the elite Top 40.
The “Vegas Verdicts” kick-off Tuesday and contestants who’ve made it through the first round of auditions arrive at the Palms Resort & Casino where there are instantly some surprise eliminations. The celebrity judges engage in some heated debates and at one point, after being unable to come to a decision, agree to issue a challenge to some of the acts in order to break the judging deadlock. During the course of Tuesday’s show, several acts will learn whether or not they’ve made it into the Top 40.
On Wednesday’s episode, the deliberating between the celebrity judges heats up even more and they decide to interview some of the acts in order to help them determine who else will join the Top 40. This episode will give a revealing look into the deliberations and many of the acts must endure an emotional day that either ends with heartbreak and anguish or joy and celebration. One contestant even faces what he calls the “most difficult decision of his life.” By the end of night, all of the Top 40 acts will be revealed.
Nick Cannon hosts this variety competition series which features a colorful array of hopeful future stars as they compete for a chance to win a one million-dollar prize and become the most talented act in America.
“America’s Got Talent” is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell’s SYCO Television. Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz (“American Idol”), Jason Raff (“Momma’s Boys”) and Scott St. John (“Deal or No Deal”) serve as executive producers.
