USA NETWORK OFFERS LOCAL MARKET AFFILIATE PROMOTION FOR NEW SERIES ‘WHITE COLLAR’ FEATURING PRIZING FROM THE HIGH-END ‘WHITE COLLAR COLLECTION’

NBC Universal is offering its multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs) a “White Collar Collection” affiliate marketing promotion for USA Network’s highly-anticipated new original series, “White Collar” (Matt Bomer, Tim DeKay, Tiffani Thiessen and Willie Garson), premiering at 10 p.m. ET on Friday, October 23. The announcement was made today by Brian Hunt, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales Strategy, TV Networks Distribution, NBC Universal.

Designed as a flexible, turnkey promotional opportunity, affiliates that drive local ad sales will be able to redeem points towards an exclusive online shopping experience for a wide range of high-end “White Collar” branded merchandise. Stylish and hi-tech merchandise available through points includes a high-end home audio entertainment system, 19″ flat screen HD TV, designer watch, portable GPS system and mini camcorder all available in the color white.

“We are pleased to offer our valued distribution partners the opportunity to participate in this high-end affiliate marketing promotion as the premiere of ‘White Collar’ approaches on cable’s No. 1 network on television,” said Hunt.

Partners that utilize the promotion to drive local ad sales will commit to running a total of 250 cross-channel spots consisting of 125 premiere spots (run from Oct. 9-23) and 125 continuity and/or vignettes (run from Oct. 24- Nov. 13). Tier 1, markets 1 through 25, will receive 2,500 points and Tier 2, markets 26+, will receive 1,000 points that can be used to redeem “White Collar Collection” merchandise through this exclusive online shopping experience.

The deadline for MVPDs to enroll in USA Network’s “White Collar Collection” promotion is on Thursday, October 1, via www.usawhitecollarcollection.com.

“White Collar” Series Synopsis
“White Collar” is about the most unlikely of partnerships between a con artist and an FBI agent. The story unfolds after charming criminal mastermind Neal Caffrey (Bomer) is caught by his nemesis, G-Man extraordinaire Peter Burke (DeKay). After escaping from a maximum-security prison to find his long-lost love, Neal is nabbed by Peter once again. Rather than returning to jail for this daring getaway, Neal suggests an alternate plan – providing his expertise to assist the Feds in putting away infamous and elusive criminals in return for his freedom. Thiessen plays Peter’s wife, Elizabeth, an intelligent, high-status event planner with a certain intuition of her own. Garson plays Mozzie, a friend of Caffrey’s with a strong distrust of the Feds and an unyielding belief in conspiracy theories. Diahann Carroll (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Dynasty”) guest stars in the pilot and will appear as a dynamic recurring character.
