“Saturday Night Live” concluded its Peabody Award-winning season this evening with performances from show alums Norm Macdonald, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler, and also featured special guest appearances by Oscar-Award-winning actor Tom Hanks, actress Anne Hathaway and actor Paul Rudd.
Maya Rudolph made an appearance as a singing mourner in “Funeral” and both Hanks and Macdonald were featured as contestants in “Jeopardy,” with Hanks competing as himself and Macdonald as actor Burt Reynolds. Anne Hathaway, Artie Lange, Elizabeth Moss and Paul Rudd appeared in “Summer Plans” and Amy Poehler reunited with Seth Meyers as co-host of the “Weekend Update” desk.
The season finale was hosted by Will Ferrell, whose film “Land of the Lost” opens in theaters June 5. Musical guest, Grammy Award-winning trio Green Day, performed “Know Your Enemy” and “21 Guns” from their new album “21st Century Breakdown.”
