OPRAH WINFREY TAKING HER SHOW TO WASHINGTON FOR INAUGURATION

Oprah Winfrey confirms to “Access Hollywood” she will be hosting “The Oprah Winfrey Show” from Washington, D.C. during the week of the presidential inauguration

“I’m going to break that right here; that’s where I’m going to be,” Winfrey exclusively told “Access Hollywood.” “See you there . . . that’s the place to be.”

She also confirmed to “Access Hollywood” that she has rented out the Opera House at the Kennedy Center to film the show.

Winfrey has been one of the president-elect’s foremost backers, stumping for him in the early days of his campaign and famously crying on a stranger’s shoulder at his acceptance speech in Chicago on Election Night.

“There are not even words to talk about what this night means,” Winfrey told Maria Menounos on Election Night. “Everybody keeps using the word historic — there’s never been a night like this on the planet earthÂ…nothing can compare to this.”

“Access Hollywood” is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rob K. Silverstein is the executive producer.
