NUDE NUNS WITH BIG GUNS

THE PLOT THUS FAR

After deciding to take her vows at a convent, Sister Sarah becomes enslaved and victimized by the drug-pushing predators within the church walls and, on the verge of death, receives a divine message – to seek revenge! Packing heat and shedding her habit, this sister of no mercy embarks on a relentless rampage against these unholy men of the cloth and their partners in crime, a vicious biker gang known as Los Muertos. Packed with sex, violence, and wall-to-wall mayhem, this outrageous modern cult favorite in the tradition of the greatest drive-in action classics proves that hell hath no fury like a nude nun scorned.

WHAT WE THOUGHT

After sweet Sister Sarah is victimized by the brutal and corrupt clergy members in her church and nearly dies, now she’s packing heat and blowing away the bad guys. A kind-hearted doctor named Mr. Foo releases Sarah from her bondage and flushes out all the drugs from her system. Upon awakening, Sister Sarah reveals that she has received the “word of God” which has entrusted her with dishing out some divine justice on those who did her wrong. Foo then proceeds to arm are with a pair of silver pistols to help her on her mission only to have Sarah put a bullet through his noggin. Thus begins our heroine’s journey of hate-fueled revenge served cold and hard with the most translucent metaphor for phallic aggression a lesbian nun can holster.

There are equal parts nudity and violence and there is plenty of each to keep audiences grinning from ear to ear with each new character introduction. Just about every female character but one bares her breasts for the film and I, for one, am a better man because of it. Sister Sarah in particular has no qualms about doing scenes involving full nudity between all her gunslinging and brain blasting. Priests, nuns, bikers, lesbians…no one is safe once this sister straps herself with a sizeable firearm.

The Blu-Ray comes with the original short film and a trailer. The DTS-HD 5.1 master audio track is really quite expansive for such a down and dirty film. I just wish that I could say the same for the transfer. While at times it’s over-lit, the 1080p transfer makes every inch of the frame fill with the dull lull of many 70s throwbacks. Still, it’s entertaining for what it is and well worth a viewing. I’d only recommend a purchase for the cinematic hardcore.
