Just in time for the Holidays, MoneyGram International, Inc. (NYSE: MGI) has chosen the first winner in its Double Your Send sweepstakes. There’s only one week remaining to enter for your chance to win Double Your Send or the grand prize of $1000, so now’s the perfect time to go online and send money to friends and family for the Holidays.

From November 16 to December 20, 2009, MoneyGram is doubling the winner’s send amount for online money transfers (up to $899). One Grand Prize Winner of $1000 will also be selected from all entries at the conclusion of the sweepstakes.

Winners for the double your send are chosen from weekly random drawings. All online money transfers originating in the U.S that week and sent to anyone collecting funds at a MoneyGram agent location worldwide are eligible and automatically entered in the drawing. For details see

The winners will be notified and a Visa Gift Card for double the original transaction amount or the grand prize will be delivered to the senders’ desired location. Entries to the sweepstake will also be accepted without a money transfer by mailing a postcard to MoneyGram. For details see Official Rules.
