MIRACULOUS: TALES OF LADYBUG & CAT NOIR – IT’S LADYBUG!

IT’S LADYBUG REVIEWED

“It’s Ladybug” follows the beats established by the earlier episodes of Miraculous. While I could fake opine about the merits of the show, I’ll go about a different way. My kid is 3 and loves the holy hell out of this show. It’s not something she keeps on repeat like Harry the Bunny, but she has to see new episodes when they air or arrive on DVD. Marinette and Adrien do something that really matters in this era. They are amazing heroines without having to call attention to junk concepts like girl power.

If you’re great, you’re great. You don’t have to keep calling out your differences to sorta handicap why you work as a character. “Miraculous” understands it and it’s enough to keep me glued to these five episodes per DVD spurt. If you have young kids, go check it out.
