Four all new Christmas and winter tales come to DVD! Stories include Merry Christmas, Splat (Splat tries to be a good kitty in order to receive presents on Christmas morning), Fletcher and the Snowflake Christmas, Snowflake Bentley and Owl Moon.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“Merry Christmas Splat” is a wonderfully narrated series of 4 stories with the Scholastic charm. Basically, we get some quality Christmas tales and some cat action. These releases tend to stick to a few relatable themes to make them easier for kids to process. This is something for the 8 and under crowd. Honestly, these stories might be strictly for 5 and younger. But, that’s perfectly fine. We need more material for that age range around the Holidays.
The DVD comes with a read along and a look at the Fletcher animation creation as the special features. The A/V Quality is strong with a supportive transfer and a Dolby audio track. The Dolby track doesn’t get much back channel action outside of the few major kitty action scenes. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to parents of young kids.
