LITTLE BITCHES

LITTLE BITCHES REVIEWED

“Little Bitches” was a funny film about three young ladies trying to figure out what to do after High School. The trio is frank and they talk about everything unguarded. Then, the adults come into play. Between the Spanish teacher, the bizarre counselor and the absentee parents…everyone over 18 seems to talk with a High Schooler’s permission. Well, everyone except for the insane cop played by Andrew Santino. While that guy is played for laughs, his anger at the situation seems earned.

If the film had been a thirty minute pilot for a cable TV channel, it would’ve been amazing. What ultimately kills the film is the last half. The girls aren’t that well developed and everyone seems to be fighting for things that don’t matter. When the young ladies are given a chance at developing personalities, it seems too late. Hell, a generous portion of the film is dedicated to how their friendship pact is selfish and screws over their parents.

Does it matter? Not really. Adults only exist in this world as speed bumps in the lives of these three ladies. No matter what happens or who challenges them, Little Bitches does what it wants. The trailer is quite enticing, unfortunately the film failed.
