LEGION OF BROTHERS REVIEWED

“Legion of Brothers” tells the story of two bands of Green Berets deployed to Afghanistan during the early days of the War on Terror. Teams 595 and 574 share openly with the documentary crew about the kind of things that happened during the early days of conflict. The saddest story is when a few soldiers rely what happened when Allied forces accidentally bombed a portion of their squad. There is a great deal of humor to be shared, but these brave warriors never flinch when sharing what went wrong. The film runs nice and tight, so it’s a documentary for the masses.

The Plot Thus Far

Immediately after the 9/11 attacks, fewer than 100 US Troops were sent on a secret mission to overthrow the Taliban. What happens next is equal parts war-origin story and cautionary tale, illuminating the impact of 15 years of constant combat.
