THE LAST REEF REVIEWED
“The Last Reef” takes viewers from Palau to Vancouver Island to Mexico and even the Bahamas. For 44 minutes, we follow fish and dolphins through lush marine landscapes. While this is the kind of stuff that makes screensavers, there’s something so relaxing about the journey. While we’re supposed to be enjoying the nature narration, the documentary pull kept me focused. Due to the visual aesthetic, I’d recommend trying to pick it up in 4K. While the Atmos track is expansive, nothing compares to the deep blues in true 4K resolution.
