Jerry Springer and the team at “The Jerry Springer Show” want the American TV audience to prove that they are “Jerry’s Biggest Fan.” The nationally syndicated show, currently in its 19th season, is asking viewers to submit a video to show why they should win the title.
“You watch the crazy antics and outrageous stories on my show everyday,” says host Jerry Springer. “Now it’s your chance to tell America why you are the biggest fan.”
Executive Producer Rachelle Wilkos says, “We’re looking for videos that capture the show’s outrageous guests and surprising plot twists. Whether you want to do a song or rap or act out your favorite episode, our advice is to just be fun, creative and entertaining.”
All video entries will be accepted online at www.jerryspringertv.com through October 9, 2009. Starting October 19, fans can place votes for their favorite videos and the top 3 finalists will be flown to the show’s new production studio in Stamford, CT, where they will stand side-by-side with host Jerry Springer with the chance to win the grand prize of $5,000.
The contest is open to legal, permanent U.S. residents physically residing within the 48 contiguous United States or District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older, from 11 p.m. September 27, 2009 through 11:59 p.m. EST October 9, 2009. The submissions will be viewed and judged by the staff of the show. Three finalists will win a trip to the studio in Stamford, CT and the grand prizewinner will receive $5,000.
The show is taped in front of a live studio audience in Stamford, CT, and is distributed in national syndication by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rachelle Wilkos is the Executive Producer.
