JERRY LEWIS: 10 FILMS COLLECTION

JERRY LEWIS: 10 FILMS COLLECTION REVIEWED

“Jerry Lewis: 10 Films Collection” brings together 10 of the bigger Jerry Lewis films. Some of these had HD releases or prior DVD releases due to the Paramount catalog titles heading over to WB. Now, everything is back at the mountain and Paramount is celebrating one of their biggest stars. I enjoy seeing The Stooge and The Family Jewels getting updated DVD releases. It’s just that I want to see the lesser movies get released in HD. DVDs are old fashioned and it’s time to see what HD can uncover.

The films presented here are important. These works helped introduce the Video Village to film production and helped to establish actors making the transition to directing in the modern studio age. I get that the Lewis fans tend to skew older, but let’s try again with cutting edge presentations. The Family Jewels is an important movie and I swear I saw an HD transfer on one of the satellite HBO channels. These masters have to exist!

The special features are pretty standard, so nothing really changes there. Honestly, if you are a fan…I’d recommend picking them up if you’re a fan.
