THE JACKIE GLEASON SHOW IN COLOR REVIEWED

“The Jackie Gleason Show in Color” was Gleason’ last big jaunt on TV. Most of the program was period sketches and musical numbers. Plus, they wheeled out Honeymooners bits when they needed to stretch for time. What makes this so insane is that the show lasted four years. Time Life presents this show in full color, but I don’t get why it’s a big deal. The completists out there will love having this bit of Gleason history. It’s just that I’m not sure how many Gleason fans are still alive. Oh well, I appreciate the effort.
