THE INVOKING 3 REVIEWED
“The Invoking 3” is an anthology that starts out with found footage and then turns into straight horror. While I found most of the stories forgettable, what worked for me was near the middle of the presentation. “She Is Not My Sister” is one of the shortest tales, but it has a stunning hook. Playing with the fairytale notion of breadcrumbs and playing with a playground portal to Hell, things get weird fast. I love up-tempo horror and it works when you’re trying to speed through multiple stories.
But, I grew up as a “Tales from the Crypt” fan. I love fast moving horror that knows when the terror has been expended. Strong work all around and definitely worth checking out if you’re a super fan. Everyone else can pass.
