HARRY BENSON: SHOOT FIRST

HARRY BENSON: SHOOT FIRST REVIEWED

“Harry Benson: Shoot First” is another documentary that turns into fan worship by the end of the 10 minute marker. While we get the broadest sense of what the man accomplished, nobody bothers to ask about why he didn’t take a specific focus. Hell, most of the pop culture stuff feels trivial by the time we see his Humanitarian coverage. But, I guess that’s not the point. We’re supposed to cheer an old man’s life in filming dudes in locker rooms and the occasional Beatle.

I sat on this one for awhile, because I really wanted to find something to like about it. That never happened, so here we are. It’s not bad, but I can’t say that I was crazy over it. Give it a chance, if you’re curious.
