HALF PINT BRAWLERS: SEASON 1

THE PLOT THUS FAR

Half Pint Brawlers chronicles the often-absurd yet astonishing and wild adventures of one of the most extraordinary performance groups in the country. These self-proclaimed hardcore little person wrestlers, led by their gregarious owner, Puppet “The Psycho Dwarf,” entertain crowds in venues all across the U.S. with their unique brand of wrestling prowess. Along the way, Puppet must deal with issues surrounding little person wrestling events while at the same time keeping his rambunctious wrestlers in line. And as “The Brawlers” travel the underground wrestling circuit, you’ll have a front row seat to see all of the action inside the ring… and their wild, chaotic lifestyles outside the ring.

W
HAT WE THOUGHT

Puppet “The Psycho Dwarf” owns and runs the company. Little Kato “The Dwarf Destroyer” is the veteran of the group. Beautiful Bobby is Kato’s long-haired brother known for his high-flying style. What we observe are six episodes of this killer series premiere.

What caught my attention was during the match, one of the brothers jumps off a railing and sends his brother (Little Kato) through a table and immediately rips open a seven inch gash on the back of Kato’s head. Blood everywhere, looked like the dude was going to die. But they rushed him to the hospital and stitched him up. What was crazy is the next night the dude wanted to wrestle! Don’t want to ruin it, but the boss man has to decide if he’s going to let his star wrestler wrestle the next night.

The DVD comes with no substantial special features. The A/V Quality is about what you can expect with a TV on DVD. The Dolby 2.0 track is a surround mix that serves all audio in the front channels. If you’re looking for other special features, you will find none. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase.
