THE PLOT THUS FAR

A man caught in the middle of two simultaneous robberies at the same bank desperately tries to protect the teller with whom he’s secretly in love.

WHAT WE THOUGHT

Two gangs unwittingly attempt to rob a bank at the same time, catching innocent Tripp Kennedy in the middle of the action. In the midst of the melee, Tripp saves bank teller Kaitlin and together they scheme to stay alive and out of love. When the bank’s security system goes into lockdown mode, the standoff pits crook against crook while Tripp and Kaitlin execute their plan.

Two bank robberies taking place simultaneously. One crew are slick and professional – they wear boiler suits and masks, and each knows exactly what it is they have to do – the other crew are a pair of rednecks nicknamed Peanut and Jelly who haven’t really got a clue. As Peanut and Jelly have come to loot the ATMs and the others are after the contents of the vault they each decide to continue with their respective robberies while keeping out of the other group’s way.

Added to the mix are the usual hostage types: the aforementioned Dempsey, who possesses superhuman analytical skills but is unravelling fast because he has no medication, an attractive but slightly cool teller, an uptight teller, a creepy security guard, an anal loans officer, an avuncular manager. They each have their part to play as the story crawls towards its confused and poorly thought out conclusion.

The Blu-Ray comes with trailers and an interview. The A/V Quality is pretty strong with an amazing 1080p transfer. However, the Dolby 5.1 audio track was heavily compressed and it made Ashley Judd’s soft dialogue hard to hear. That being said, we’re still getting an amazing release. I’d recommend a rental.
