THE FILM CRITIC REVIEWED
“The Film Critic” plays like a slightly Latin tinged Amelie. It’s metacinema done in a way that plays deaf and yet warm. How many people really need to hear a tale of a cynical bastard critic learning to open up? It’s tired and the kind of stuff that would make for a B-list Kate Hudson romantic comedy a few years back. But, much like her profitability…I thought that this kind of movie had gone away. While the acting is better than expected, don’t let the accents fool you. This is a pretty disposable movie.
