ELEMENTARY: THE FIFTH SEASON

ELEMENTARY: THE FIFTH SEASON REVIEWED

“Elementary” returns for a fifth year of mining the Sherlock Holmes experience. While Jonny Lee Miller is a great Holmes, the material is stretched to the point of being the final season of a 70s cop show. Recycled plots and bare ties to the source material exist to keep this going as a criminal threat of the week show. Still, I have never quite warmed up to Lucy Liu as Watson. It’s nothing against her, I just don’t find Watson to be anything more than an afterthought in these shows. If the show is still your thing, then have more of it.
