DUCKTALES: DESTINATION ADVENTURE REVIEWED

“DuckTales: Desination Adventure” is six episodes of the current series and additional 2 episodes from the classic run. So much of this new more Carl Barks inspired series is still bringing back beloved characters. The Beagle Boys get way more focus in this compilation and GizmoDuck gets to make his debut. Hell, Lin-Manuel Miranda is playing the robotic duck while Jim Rash is playing Gyro Gearloose. Every other character in this series is voiced by a comedian or talent that I love.

Where does the greatness end? Honestly, it ends when we get away from investigating things that fell outside of the classic series run. I love it when they tackle things like Della Duck and materials from the comics. But, the constant 80s nostalgia boner for the past gets to be a bit much. Still, Disney knows their test market and they will pander to it hard. If that’s fine with you, then pick it up.
