DISTURBING THE PEACE

DISTURBING THE PEACE REVIEWED

“Disturbing the Peace” focuses on the Combatants for Peace. These guys are ex-Israeli and Palestinian soldiers who want to work together for a better tomorrow. Unfortunately, their governments don’t want to hear it. While they team up to demonstrate and gain public support, they are stopped at nearly every turn. So, what options do these pioneers have left to use?

To say that the documentary moves slow is an understatement. It takes almost an hour to get to the real meat of the documentary. Basically, how do you sell peace to a society that has grown accustomed to war? The documentary works as an international appeal to get the West to understand their plight. But, it’s going to take so much to make people relate. While I enjoyed the film, this one of those shows that leaves you so frustrated by its end.
