Bravo HD and Bravo Launch in North Carolina

NBC Universal’s hit entertainment network, Bravo launches in HD February 13, 2009 statewide in North Carolina. Raleigh, N.C. residents can tune in to Bravo HD on Time Warner Cable’s channel 259. And, Bravo previously launched on Time Warner Cable’s standard cable in Raleigh on channel 72 and Fayetteville, N.C. on channel 53. To celebrate the kickoff, NBC Universal and Time Warner Cable will host a Raleigh launch party for consumers and cable affiliates with special guest and host, Patti Stanger, star of Bravo’s “The Millionaire Matchmaker” on February 13. The second season of “The Millionaire Matchmaker” debuts Thursday, February 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. The announcement was made today by Mary Murano, Executive Vice President, Affiliate Sales, TV Networks Distribution, NBC Universal.

“Time Warner Cable’s launch of Bravo HD and Bravo is a huge win for NBC Universal and Time Warner,” said Murano. “We are pleased to bring Bravo’s edgy and Emmy Award-Winning programming to Time Warner Cable customers.”

Residents now have access to Emmy Award-Winning shows such as, “Top Chef,” “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List” and hit programming such as “The Millionaire Matchmaker” and “Make Me a Supermodel.”

“We are thrilled to be adding Bravo and Bravo HD to our channel lineup in Raleigh and Fayetteville,” says Brian Kelly, TWC President of Residential Services. “Bravo has been one of our most requested networks and now Time Warner Cable subscribers can take full advantage of Bravo’s programming both in standard and high definition.”

On February 13, fans and cable affiliates will get an opportunity to attend the official Bravo launch party and meet Stanger in person to hear her successful dating tips and advice on finding love. Fans will get the chance to win tickets to the party through Time Warner Cable’s Web site and WDCG 105.1-FM radio station. Time Warner Cable will give out 175 tickets via its site and WDCG will give out 50 tickets.
