BONNIE & CLYDE: JUSTIFIED

BONNIEANDCLYDEJUSTIFIEDDVDBOX

THE PLOT THUS FAR

In Depression-era America, Bonnie Parker met Clyde Barrow over a cup of hot chocolate, and it was love at first sight. Their violent courtship took them through bank robberies, prison and a multi-state crime spree, securing their place in history as one of America’s most notorious couples. Using some of Bonnie Parker’s own letters to Clyde, BONNIE & CLYDE: JUSTIFIED takes you through their story from first sight to their inevitable, violent end.

WHAT WE THOUGHT

“Bonnie & Clyde: Justified” is another retelling of the adventures of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. How many times can you tell the story of a repressed redneck girl and a prison bred bisexual crook? Arthur Penn did it best and everyone else has been racing to keep it up. Eric Roberts looks bored in the flick, but that’s to be expected. The flick is boring and it ends the way you expect.

The DVD comes with a Digital Copy and still gallery as the special features. The transfer holds up for what it is, plus the dialogue isn’t dropped on the Dolby track. The A/V Quality is on par with most DTV releases in standard definition. I just wish there was something more spectacular to be seen. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to the curious.
