BLOOD AND GLORY

BLOOD AND GLORY REVIEWED

“Blood and Glory” is a mix of Full Metal Jacket, Victory and The Longest Yard. The Boers are captured and forced to fight to survive in a detention camp. What happens is that they learn to compete against each other with Rugby matches. Given the nature of the film, I was expecting something a little more stable. But, how focused would an audience stay in watching foreigners train for war in South Africa? Oh well, rugby. There’s got to be Rugby fans out there. Nate Ebner doesn’t count.
