“Black Beauty” is the most recent of 70 years of adapting a not-so amazing novel. Do you have a wily teen girl that needs to learn discipline? Do you have a wild horse that would step on this girl’s head in real life? Well, you’ve got a movie. Short Eyes plays her grandfather and he helps the girl rehabilitate the Ebony tinged horse. Luke Perry shows up as yet another man who failed this girl.
If you’ve got a weird thing for horses, then this might be for you. Everyone else will probably avoid it. The A/V Quality is pretty strong for recent material in standard definition. The special features range from a featurette to a stills gallery. In the end, I’d recommend a rental or stream to the curious.
