Another season of alien intervention belongs to HISTORY. ANCIENT ALIENS continues to examine 75 million years of the most credible alien evidence here on Earth. SEASON 3 explores new directions, including sightings and phenomena from ancient times to the present. From the age of dinosaurs to ancient Egypt, from early cave drawings to continued mass sightings in the U.S., each episode gives historic depth to the questions, speculations, controversies, firsthand accounts and grounded theories surrounding an age-old debate. Did intelligent life forms from outer space visit Earth thousands of years ago? Do they visit us now? HISTORY ignites the inquiry while exploring possible connections between UFO phenomena and information decoded from ancient texts and artifacts.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
This documentary series seeks to answer a provocative question: Were ancient humans really behind some of the most important technological advances in civilized history, or did they have extraterrestrial help? Giorgio Tsoukalos takes you through a ton of material for a third straight year with no point of clarity. We’re constantly slammed with so much blatantly unresearched material that you can’t help but dismiss it all. “South Park” had it right with its recent Thor parody episode. There are no real experts on this crap.
It is one thing to see how somethings could not be explained and then speculate from evidence that we may have had help from aliens. But, to make sweeping statements that there was a targeted manipulation of our genes by the aliens is ludicrous. It is one thing to speculate that we were visited by aliens but to make statements about their intentions or what precisely they did is not just going out on a limb, but its jumping off a cliff of rational thinking. As one of the students commented, the show would be nice but Mr. Tsoukalos turned it into a sensationalized tabloid.
The DVD comes with bonus footage cut from the show. The A/V Quality is on par with broadcast quality. The Dolby track is a nice front surround mix matched by a standard definition transfer. If you’re looking for something impressive, this isn’t it. In the end, I’d only recommend a purchase for fans of the show.
