“Alleluia” certainly did catch me offguard. Graphic sex and murder allows the French to try a loose remake of “The Honeymoon Killers”. That being said, something is lost in taking pulp origins and trying to make it mature. Laurent Lucas and Lola Duenas offer up amazing turns in their lead roles. It’s just a shame that nothing else matches their intensity. The DVD comes with a director’s commentary, cut scenes, interviews, featurette and a short film as the special features.
