THE PLOT THUS FAR
Four heavily armed hitmen and two unusual teenagers go to war over $500,000 of stolen cash.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“The Aggression Scale” is a film about a mobster trying to find his stolen cash. The guy’s got to get out of country rather fast, so he’s put his goons on the case. When the goons zero in on a local family moving into a nearby house, they meet the young survivalist Owen. Owen decides to go buck wild on these guys and the mayhem truly gets going. But, what makes it connect with an audience?
The movie is pretty damn amazing. I know that I get slammed down with a lot of smaller flicks month after month, but I’m hoping that you guys don’t let this one slip past you. Think of it as “Home Alone” meets “First Blood”. There’s something to organized chaos when set to childish carnage. While I can’t call it an amazing movie, it’s the film you need at the right time.
The DVD comes with a production featurette. The A/V Quality is pretty sharp for standard definition. However, I found that the transfer went dark way too many times. If that wasn’t enough, I found myself desperately wanting to hear a commentary for this unique film. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase.
