Nick Lachey spoke to Billy Bush for “Access Hollywood” and nationally syndicated radio’s “The Billy Bush Show” about his upcoming album and his duet with new “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi.
Lachey, who has an upcoming album called “Coming Up For Air,” told Bush he was excited for a track called “Temporary” that he did with Kara DioGuardi who is now the fourth judge on “American Idol.”
“She and I wrote it together,” Lachey said. “Initially, just in the studio, we thought, ‘All right, let’s sing it together and then we’ll maybe find someone else to be on it,’ but she did such a great job on it.”
“She is one of the more talented people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and just a great, down to earth person as well,” Lachey explained. “I’m very happy for her that she’s getting this opportunity and hopefully this song will be big for both of us.”
When Bush asked if Lachey would bring DioGuardi with him if he goes on tour later this year, Lachey replied, “She’s going to be far too big and busy to come on tour with me.”
